Privacy policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit this website or contact us, why we process it, who helps us do it and what rights you have. We keep data collection to a minimum: the site uses no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies.

1. Who is responsible

The controller responsible for your personal data is:

Dataforge
Dataforge
Address:
Strada 31 August 1989 78, MD-2012 Chișinău, Republic of Moldova

2. What data we process and why

We process the following data, each for a specific purpose and on a legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Website delivery and security. When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Cookie consent. We store your cookie choice in a cookie on your device and keep a record of it — an anonymous ID, your choices, the banner version, the language and the time — so we can respect and demonstrate your consent. We do not store your IP address or name with it. Legal basis: our legal obligation to demonstrate consent (Art. 6(1)(c) and Art. 7(1) GDPR).
  • Email. When you email us, we process your email address, your name and the content of your message to reply and, if you wish, to prepare an offer. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Call bookings. When you book a call, the booking service collects your name, email address and any answers you give, and shares them with us so we can hold the call. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Job applications. When you send us your CV, we process the information in it to assess your application. Legal basis: steps prior to an employment contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

3. Service providers and international transfers

We use a small number of providers that process data on our behalf. Some of them are based in the United States or may process data outside the European Economic Area and Moldova; such transfers rely on safeguards like the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, content delivery and security of this website.
  • Google LLC (Firebase) — storage of cookie consent records.
  • Calendly LLC — scheduling calls, when you choose to book one.

4. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for:

  • Your cookie choice stays on your device for 180 days; after that, we ask again.
  • Consent records are kept for as long as we need to be able to demonstrate consent.
  • Emails and booking details are kept while the conversation or business relationship continues, and afterwards only as long as the law requires.
  • Job applications are deleted when the hiring process ends, unless you agree that we keep them for future openings.
  • Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period, as described in its own privacy policy.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the personal data protection law of the Republic of Moldova, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict processing, or object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example through “Cookie settings” in the footer, without affecting processing that happened before.

6. How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address above. We answer within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Moldova, the National Center for Personal Data Protection; in the European Union, the authority in the country where you live or work.

7. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the way we process data changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.

8. Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work. If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, they will only run after you accept them in the cookie banner, and we will list them here.
